AIDS Care Fund provided grants in support of He Intends Victory, a Christian ministry to individuals affected by HIV/AIDS. Educational, prevention, individual counseling and support group programs are active in 18 states plus the District of Columbia and in 13 other nations.

Thailand
AIDS Care Fund partnered with He Intends Victory to support the ministry of the Mike Hylton Home in Petchabun, devoted to the care of women and children with HIV/AIDS. Up to 20 residents at a time receive all the necessities of life and spiritual counsel. |
Malaysia
AIDS Care Fund supported the operation of the Herb Hall Men’s Home in Kuala Lumpur by HIVHope, Malaysia. It is devoted to the care of men, mostly teenagers and young adults, suffering from HIV/AIDS. In addition to being a safe haven for up to 20 residents at a time, the home’s directors provide individual counseling with a focus on spiritual growth and life enrichment.
There are support groups with peer counseling and mentoring, as well as an outreach to college students and young adults, who have the highest rate (35%) of new cases in the country.

Latin and Central America

Brazil AIDS Care Fund partnered with missionary John Bills to provide training for church leaders worldwide who are organizing Christian outreaches to people with HIV/AIDS. He also founded and has oversight of Casa Refugio in Belo Horizonte, a Christian home for children with HIV/AIDS. Currently 19, infants to age 14, are in residence. |
Guatemala AIDS Care Fund shipped a 40-ft sea container filled with food, clothing, and shoes to a medical mission project in Guatemala City, which benefited about 1,500 individuals. Fair market value of the shipment was $62,505. |

Swaziland AIDS Care Fund provided ongoing support for The Lighthouse Care Center in Mbabane, which operates 6 residential homes for recovering alcoholics and drug addicts. A total of 89 were in residence last year, most of them children and teenagers, with a few men in their 20s. Most also have HIV/AIDS. |
Uganda AIDS Care Fund supported the operation of the Terry Duffy Home, a half-acre compound in Jinja, designed to shelter and treat HIV-infected women and children. Currently there are 12 residents, most of them widows or orphans who are utterly destitute and shunned by society.
